At some properties you can even leave your car parked at the hotel to avoid costly port parking. Virgin Trains USA (formerly operating as Brightline) connect Miami with Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, and Orlando in the near future. Comfortable express trains depart from and arrive at Virgin MiamiCentral in Downtown Miami.
But if you want to explore Miami on your own there are booths offering all sorts of excursions, tours, and hop-on-hop-off buses. Cruise line transfers are not cheap at are charged per person. Currently for example Carnival Cruises charges $22.99 per person for a transfer from the airport to the Port of Miami. An Uber or Lyft is mostly the cheapest way to get to your departure terminal. You may drop off your luggage at the terminal before parking. A free shuttle runs from each parking facility to the terminal.
